Aprepitant (125mg) + Aprepitant (80mg)
Aprepitant, an antiemetic, is a substance P/neurokinin 1 (NK1) receptor antagonist that, when combined with other antiemetic agents, helps prevent both acute and delayed nausea and vomiting associated with initial and repeated cycles of many nausea-inducing cancer chemotherapies.
Aprepitant specifically targets and blocks human substance P/neurokinin 1 (NK1) receptors. It has little or no affinity for serotonin (5-HT3), dopamine, and corticosteroid receptors, which are the targets of existing therapies for chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (CINV).
It works by blocking the action of a chemical messenger in the brain that may cause nausea and vomiting during treatment with anti-cancer medicines.
