About C-Furo 500mg Tablet

C-Furo 500 mg Tablets contains Cefuroxime and belongs to the group of medicines called antibiotics. It is used to treat serious bacterial infections, including middle ear infections (otitis media), throat infections (pharyngitis and tonsillitis), sinus infections (acute sinusitis), chest and lung infections (bronchitis and pneumonia), urinary tract infections, and serious skin infections such as furuncles. Additionally, C-Furo 500 mg Tablets is used to manage Lyme disease, an infection caused by ticks.

Patients with a history of cephalosporin-associated hemolytic anaemia should not take C-Furo 500 mg Tablets. Prolonged use of this medication can alter digestive flora, potentially causing Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhoea.
