About Erlotero 100Mg Tablet

Erlotero 100 mg Tablets contains Erlotinib 100 mg, a targeted anticancer medicine belonging to the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) tyrosine kinase inhibitor class. It is prescribed for the treatment of EGFR-positive non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and, in combination with other medicines, pancreatic cancer, as advised by an oncologist. Erlotinib works by blocking EGFR signaling pathways that promote the growth and spread of cancer cells, thereby slowing disease progression. Erlotero should be used only under the supervision of a qualified oncology specialist.

  • Benefits and Use

  • Erlotero 100 mg Tablets is indicated for the treatment of EGFR-positive non-small cell lung cancer that is locally advanced or has spread to other parts of the body, and in selected cases of pancreatic cancer in combination with other anticancer medicines.
  • By specifically blocking EGFR-mediated signaling, Erlotinib slows the growth and multiplication of cancer cells, helping delay disease progression and improve treatment outcomes.
  • When used under specialist supervision, it forms an important part of targeted cancer therapy.

  • Safety Information

  • Pregnancy:
  • Erlotero should not be used during pregnancy unless the potential benefit clearly outweighs the risk. Effective contraception should be used by both men and women during treatment and for at least one month after the last dose.
  • Breastfeeding:
  • Breastfeeding is not recommended during treatment and for a period advised by your doctor after stopping therapy.
  • Alcohol:
  • Consult your doctor before consuming alcohol during treatment.
  • Smoking:
  • Avoid smoking, as it can significantly reduce the effectiveness of Erlotinib and may require dose adjustment.
  • Kidney Disorders:
  • Use with caution in patients with kidney impairment. It is generally not recommended in severe kidney disease without specialist advice.
  • Liver Disorders:
  • Patients with liver disease require careful monitoring, and dose adjustment may be necessary.
  • Sun Exposure:
  • Erlotinib may increase sensitivity to sunlight; wear protective clothing and use sunscreen when outdoors.
  • Driving:
  • If you experience dizziness, vision changes, or fatigue, avoid driving or operating machinery.
  • Seek immediate medical attention if you develop severe diarrhea, persistent cough, shortness of breath, mouth ulcers, or vision changes.
