Hetrodox injection is an antibiotic which contains doxycycline hydrochloride as its active ingredient. It is used in the treatment of bacterial infections like urinary tract infections, intestinal infections, respiratory infections, eye infections, skin infections, etc. It helps manage sexually transmitted infections like gonorrhoea and syphilis as well.

Hetrodox injection has certain side effects that include nausea, diarrhoea, small purple pox on the skin, anxiety, vomiting, etc. These are usually harmless and subside on their own, in case they persist, please consult your doctor. Inform your doctor if the IV site becomes very painful, red, or swollen.
