About Kepime SB 3Gm Injection

Kepime SB 3 gm Injection contains Cefoperazone 2000 mg and Sulbactam 1000 mg, a combination antibiotic used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections. Cefoperazone kills susceptible bacteria, while Sulbactam blocks bacterial enzymes (beta-lactamases) that cause antibiotic resistance, enhancing the effectiveness of Cefoperazone.   • Alcohol: Do not consume alcohol during treatment and for at least 72 hours after completing therapy, as cefoperazone may cause a disulfiram-like reaction resulting in flushing, severe headache, nausea, vomiting, rapid heartbeat, sweating, and low blood pressure.
  • Pregnancy: Use during pregnancy only if clearly prescribed by your doctor after carefully evaluating the potential benefits and risks.
  • Breastfeeding: Use with caution during breastfeeding. Your doctor may advise temporarily stopping breastfeeding while receiving treatment.
  • Kidney & Liver Disease: Use with caution in patients with kidney or liver disease. Dose adjustment and regular monitoring of kidney function, liver function, and blood tests may be required.
