About Tofus 5 Mg Tablet

Tofus 5 mg Tablets contains Tofacitinib 5 mg, a Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitor used to treat moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and ulcerative colitis. It works by reducing the activity of the immune system, helping to decrease inflammation, relieve pain, stiffness, and swelling, and slow disease progression. Regular use can improve joint function, mobility, and overall quality of life when taken as prescribed by your doctor.

Usage Instructions

  • Take Tofus 5 mg Tablets exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
  • It may be taken with or without food, preferably at the same time each day.
  • Swallow the Tablets whole with water.
  • Do not crush, chew, or break it.
  • Do not stop taking the medicine without consulting your doctor, as stopping treatment suddenly may worsen your condition.
  • Regular medical check-ups and blood tests may be required during treatment.

  • Infection Risk: Tofus 5 mg Tablets suppresses the immune system and may increase the risk of serious bacterial, viral, fungal, or opportunistic infections. Contact your doctor immediately if you develop fever, chills, sore throat, persistent cough, mouth ulcers, painful urination, or any other signs of infection. Avoid close contact with people who have contagious illnesses such as chickenpox, measles, or influenza.
  • Blood Monitoring: Regular blood tests are recommended to monitor blood cell counts, liver function, kidney function, and cholesterol levels during treatment. Inform your doctor if you experience unusual bruising, bleeding, persistent fatigue, or signs of anemia.
  • Tuberculosis & Viral Infections: Your doctor may screen you for tuberculosis (TB), hepatitis B, hepatitis C, or shingles before starting treatment. These infections may reactivate during therapy, so inform your doctor if you have a history of any of these conditions.
  • Blood Clot Risk: Tofus 5 mg Tablets may increase the risk of blood clots in the legs or lungs. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience sudden chest pain, difficulty breathing, swelling, redness, or pain in your legs.

  • Breastfeeding: Do not breastfeed while taking this medicine, as it may pass into breast milk and harm the baby.
