About Danavir R Tablet

Danavir R 800 mg/100 mg Tablets is a combination antiretroviral medicine containing Darunavir 800 mg and Ritonavir 100 mg. It is prescribed as part of combination antiretroviral therapy (ART) for the treatment of HIV-1 infection in adults and eligible patients. Darunavir is a protease inhibitor that prevents HIV from producing new virus particles, while Ritonavir acts as a pharmacokinetic booster, increasing the effectiveness and duration of Darunavir in the body. Together, they help reduce the viral load, improve immune function by preserving CD4 cells, and lower the risk of HIV-related complications. Danavir R helps manage HIV infection but does not cure HIV/AIDS or completely prevent transmission of the virus.

Usage Instructions

  • Take Danavir R 800 mg/100 mg Tablets exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
  • It is recommended to take the Tablets with food or within 30 minutes after a meal, as food improves the absorption and effectiveness of Darunavir.
  • Take the medicine at the same time every day and do not skip doses or stop treatment without consulting your doctor, as this may lead to treatment failure and viral resistance.
  • Regular monitoring of liver function, kidney function, blood counts, and viral load may be recommended during therapy.
  • Danavir R should always be used as part of a complete antiretroviral treatment regimen.

  • Benefits and Use

  • Danavir R 800 mg/100 mg Tablets helps control HIV-1 infection by inhibiting the HIV protease enzyme required for viral replication.
  • This reduces the amount of virus (viral load) in the body, helps preserve and improve immune function, lowers the risk of opportunistic infections and HIV-related complications, and supports long-term disease management.
  • When taken regularly as part of combination antiretroviral therapy, it improves overall treatment outcomes and quality of life.
  • Although effective in controlling HIV, it does not cure HIV infection and should be combined with safe practices to reduce transmission.
